Juridical person

Entity, as a firm, that is not a single natural person, as a human being, authorized by law with duties and rights, recognized as a legal authority having a distinct identity, a legal personality. Also known as an artificial person, juridical entity, juristic person, or legal person. Also, refer to body corporate [The Law Dictionary].
“Juridical person” means any legal entity duly constituted or otherwise organized under applicable law, whether for profit or otherwise, and whether privately owned or governmentally owned, including any corporation, association, trust, partnership, joint venture, or sole proprietorship;
A juridical person is:
“owned” by persons of a Party if more than 50 percent of the equity interest in it is beneficially owned by persons of that Party;
“controlled” by persons of a Party if such persons have the power to name a majority of its directors or otherwise to legally direct its actions [Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade].
