Product sales

Sales of products is a crucial link of marketing, a final complex in all the company's creation, production, and delivery of goods to the consumer. Sales of products (distribution) — the company's planning, organizing, and controlling the physical movement of materials and finished products from their production to the place of use to satisfy the needs of consumers and benefit themselves. It is carried out within the framework of the company's sales policy. The planning of the sales policy of the FP takes place in the following directions: determination of the sales strategy and the policy of the organization of sales channels; selection of sales systems and methods and corresponding types of channels; creation of a network of wholesale and retail outlets; determination of product promotion routes; organization of transportation and loading and unloading operations; ensuring sales efficiency; issues of logistics, etc. Some objective reasons determine the existence and development of sales activity: necessity — the sales system brings the product closer to the consumer, makes it more accessible; the fight for the buyer's money — by developing the sales network, bringing it closer to the consumer and creating maximum convenience for him during and after the purchase, the company achieves certain advantages in the market struggle; rationalization of production processes — the sales network takes over a share of the final operations of the production process (sorting, packing, packaging, etc.), which should be rationally performed at the stage of pre-sales service; problems of the effectiveness of market behavior and development of the firm. This means that it is more effective to study the behavior of buyers and their attitude towards the product to satisfy further their needs where the buyers directly come into contact with the product, i.e., in the sales system.
Product sales are when a customer buys a product/service which will fulfill a need of theirs. The number of products sold in a given period helps determine product sales. It is a critical parameter in understanding the business of a company.
