Concept
A general idea about a thing or group of things, derived from specific instances or occurrences is called a concept. Concept is often refers to a theoretical idea in science [Vocabulary.com].
A concept is a belief or thought, normally connected to something in the objective world. Concepts can also exist in abstraction, and in math equations as well (for instance, equations in algebra refer to ideas of 'x', which is a concept for a certain number that one must determine). Concepts can also exist in literature, art, and lots of other spheres of human thought [Study.com].
Concept is an idea or mental image which corresponds to some entity or class of entities, or to its characteristics, or defines the use of a term, and plays an important role in the use of reason or language [Lexico Oxford English Dictionary].
