Audience
The audience is the group of spectators at a film, play, or TV show. In any case, the role of the audience may be the following: at a play, the audience’s reaction, or lack of it, is immediately conveyed to the actors, which may change the play in some way; moviegoers often react more to the visual effects than to the story, while TV goers can use the option of changing the channel.
In literature, the term ‘audience’ is typically used as a synonym for ‘reader.’[Quinn, 41].
The audience is the group of people placed in one place for watching or listening to a play, film, someone's speech, etc. [Cambridge Online Dictionary].
An audience is defined as a collection of people that watch or observe something. For instance, a live speaker, a television program, a theatre performance, or refer to people who have similar preferences for the same kind of performance [YourDictionary].
