Addressee

A term addressee refers to one of the main roles of a participant in the linguistic interaction, as well as a speaker. The term is also actual in sociolinguistics, where the addressees' language is primary to the accommodation, and in grammar, where taking an addressee into consideration may affect the choice of pronoun or motivate a certain honorific form [Crystal, p. 10].
An addressee is a person who is addressed in conversation, a speech, a verse, etc. [Collins Online Dictionary].
An addressee can be defined as the intended recipient of something (such as a message, letter, etc.) or the person to whom a verbal or written statement is conveyed [Your Dicrionary].
An addressee is mainly defined as the person to whom a message is being delivered. When the addressee gets the message from the addresser we can say that communication has happened [IvyPanda].
