Parcellation

Parcellation is an intentional separation of the sentence structure into several isolated parts, separated by a pause or a period. This stylistic device is typical of everyday speech. The primary stylistic purposes of parcellation are as follows:
 concretization of some ideas or facts.
 depiction of the character's emotional state.
 illustrating the events or providing the characters' portrayal [StudFile].
Parcellation is a device of expressive syntax lying in the deliberate separation of a single syntactic structure in some deliberately separated via pauses (in speech) or a period (in writing). This stylistic device distinguishes the psychological state of the literary character, makes the expression rhythmical, shows the dynamism of the action, and reflects the spontaneity and ease of everyday speech [Ppt-online.org.].
This stylistic device intentionally distributes a single syntactic structure into two or more distinct parts. It highlights the critical points of the message and makes it more dramatic [SendPulse].
