Communicative intention
emit a message in some way. Hence, when we communicate, we do it with an aim, for example, to ask, explain, convince, tell, etc.
To put it in another way, the communicative intention is the purpose that participants in a communicative act pursue through their speech acts [Englopedia].
The communicative intention is related to the aim you want to achieve through it. When writing it, the author of a text wants to achieve a specific purpose, which can and usually is different according to each specific situation. The communicative intention is one of the most common ways to classify written texts.
There are three types of communicative intention:
Informative texts are those in which the primary communicative intention is to communicate a series of facts so that the receiver can understand them.
Persuasive texts are those written in which the author tries to persuade the addressee of their ideas, to change their opinion about an event, and to accept that of the issuer.
The management (directive) texts' primary function is to influence the reader's behavior, running their way of acting in a particular situation. This can be done by advising, giving orders, or providing knowledge [LifePersona].
Communicative intention (communicative task) a tactical move, a practical means of movement to the appropriate communicative goal. The correctness of the chosen communication tactics largely depends on the communication experience [Санду, 111].
