Massing of Forces and Equipment
Massing of forces and equipment – the concentration of forces, equipment and fire or attacks along the main and decisive axes or in the area of operations to ensure superiority, to defeat enemy forces and to achieve the objectives of the operation or battle. It is one of the principles of military art. The principal feature of massing is density of forces on the directions of the attacks in an offensive, or on the main axes or in the main sectors in defence.
