Weapon of Mass Destruction

Weapon of mass destruction – weapons which require limited use of troops and resources, but which are nevertheless capable of causing huge losses and destruction, extending to irreversible environmental damage. The principal distinguishing features of weapons of mass destruction are multiple destructive capabilities? Long-lasting damage extending beyond the actual target, long-term psychological trauma, severe genetic and ecological consequences, difficulties in protecting troops and the population, and in eliminating the after-effects of such weapons.
