Medium

1. Medium – the substance, the material as a carrier of certain properties. In the active medium of metal corrodes rapidly. The light is refracted at the boundary of liquid and gaseous media.
2. In physics, medium is defined as the substance that transfers the energy, or light from one substance to another substance or from one place to another or from one surface to another.

The medium acts as a carrier here. The medium can transfer any form of energy, sound wave, light, and heat. Multiphase mediums are divided into two- and three-phase. Two-phase medium, depending on the nature of the phases can be of three types: a mixture of liquid and solid phase, a mixture of gaseous and solid phase, a mixture of liquid and gas phases. Two-phase medium is a mixture of liquid and solid phases, spread very widely. Much less common two-hase medium is a mixture of gaseous and solid phases. Here we should be called pulverized coal, which is a mixture of air and coal powder. For two-phase media, is a mixture of liquid and gas phases are oil and gas mixture and wet steam, a very long way in technology.
