Adjective
An adjective is a word that modifies a noun or describes its referent. Its semantic role is changing information given by the noun [Betti, 4].
Adjectives are words that give more information about a noun or pronoun and can be in different positions in the sentence [2].
The adjective is a word that describes the qualities or states of being a noun. It can also describe the number of nouns.
An adjective is a word that usually serves as a modifier of a noun to indicate the quality of a named thing, to indicate its quantity or size, or to define a thing other than something else [3].
There are twelve different forms of adjectives:
1. Descriptive Adjectives (describe a noun by expressing a quality or attribute).
2. Coordinate Adjectives (small groups of adjectives that band together to modify the same noun, they are separated by the word “and” or with commas).
3. Compound Adjectives (two or more words (or a number and a word) that work as one to modify a noun).Proper Adjectives (used to describe something associated with proper nouns).
4. Demonstrative Adjectives (point to which noun or pronoun you’re speaking about: this, that, these, those).
5. Distributive Adjectives (indicate the collective nature with which people or things can be counted: any, each, either, every).
6. Indefinite Adjectives (point to non-specific items: few, many, no, several).
7. Interrogative Adjectives (pose a question).
8. Possessive Adjectives (show possession: his, her, my, your).
9. Predicate Adjectives (pop up after the linking verb and modify the subject).
10. Quantitative Adjectives (describe the quantity of something).
11. Articles as Adjectives (articles that act as adjectives in sentences, they stand beside the nouns they modify) [4].
