Informatization

Informatization is the process of moving common activities from manual to digital means. It happens as the tendency to use computers to do professional and daily work and leisure instead of former equivalents and leveraging their superior responsiveness, performance, visuals and networking. As the result, it leads to making computer devices, be it workstations, laptops, mobile phones and servers an essential part of human life. Informatization is common in urban areas but does not progress in villages as rapidly.

Examples of informatization changes are:
using mobile phones to wake up instead of clocks;
adopting messengers and video calls instead of cell communication;
distribution of media through network instead of cassettes;
delivering packages and food right to apartment by ordering it online;
online classes and seminars as parts of distance education;
availability of free information, data and knowledge on the Internet instead of relying on a local library.
