Keyword, Reserved Word

Any of the set of words that comprises a given programming language or set of operating-system routines.
A characteristic word, phrase, or code that is used to conduct sorting or searching operations.

A word that has a special meaning in a particular programming language. For example, for is a keyword in C, and BEGIN is a keyword in Pascal.
