Intention

Intention - what one intends to do or bring about.
Intention - the object for which a prayer, mass, or pious act is offered.

Intention serves as the intellectual headwaters for a certain tradition of contemporary philosophy of action, treats philosophical inquiry into the nature of intentions entirely as a branch of philosophy of mind.8
