Event

Event - an action or occurrence to which a program might respond. Examples include state changes, data transfers, key presses, and mouse movements .

1. Event - Any significant occurrence in the system or an application that requires a user to be notified or an entry to be added to a log.
2. Event - The occurrence of an action in a system.
3. Event - The basic unit of data processed by the StreamInsight server. Each event contains a header that defines the event kind and the temporal properties of the event. An event (except the CTI event) typically contains an event payload, which is a .NET data structure that contains the data associated with the event .
