Mental Health

Recovery

In the context of mental health, recovery is a deeply personal, unique, and multidimensional process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed and meaningful life, and strive to reach their full potential. It is not necessarily synonymous with the complete absence of symptoms, but rather focuses on developing new meaning, purpose, and active participation in the community despite the ongoing presence of mental health challenges.
