Information accessibility
Information accessibility is the degree to which information can be easily located, accessed, understood, and effectively used by all individuals, regardless of their physical, sensory, cognitive, linguistic, technological, or social characteristics. In contemporary scientific literature, information accessibility is viewed as a multidimensional concept that encompasses not only the availability of information but also its discoverability, readability, usability, comprehensibility, and compatibility with assistive technologies. Accessible information enables individuals to obtain, interpret, and apply information independently and equitably, thereby supporting social inclusion, equal participation, informed decision-making, and the realization of fundamental human rights. Consequently, information accessibility is considered a key component of an inclusive information society and digital environment.
