Levels of Support

Levels of Support - a structured, hierarchical framework of external support (mechanical, algorithmic, professional, or social) provided to an individual to facilitate the successful performance of a task, function, or role that they cannot fully achieve independently. It is characterized by dynamic adaptability and proportion, operating on the principle of providing the minimum necessary intervention to promote maximum individual autonomy, and is systematically differentiated based on the recipient's current functional capacity, specific subtasks, and long-term developmental or therapeutic goals.
