Psychological recovery

Psychological recovery refers to the process of restoring an individual’s mental and emotional well-being after experiencing stress, trauma, or psychological distress. This concept involves both the reduction of psychological symptoms and the development of resilience, coping mechanisms, and overall mental health improvement. Psychological recovery is often achieved through interventions such as therapy, social support, relaxation techniques, and lifestyle adjustments.

Evidence-based approaches to psychological recovery:
-Rebuilding a sense of safety and trust in one's environment and relationships.
-Empowering individuals to regain control over their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
-Developing adaptive coping strategies to handle future challenges effectively.
-Fostering social connections and support systems for emotional and practical assistance.
