Mental health Psychosocial support is actions aimed at meeting both the psychological and social needs of individuals, families and communities. It is also actions aimed at alleviating the suffering of individuals in difficult life situations and restoring their psychosocial well-being. Psychosocial support is to reveal the inner potential of the person and the community, help develop coping mechanisms and increase resilience to stress. Timely and qualitatively provided psychosocial support can help recover from a crisis event much faster and minimizes the risk of serious psychological problems.
