Coping strategies

are the methods or techniques that individuals use to manage stress, anxiety, or difficult situations. These strategies can be either adaptive (healthy and constructive ways of dealing with stress, such as problem-solving, seeking social support, or practicing mindfulness) or maladaptive (unhealthy ways of coping, such as avoidance, substance abuse, or denial). Coping strategies help individuals deal with emotional pain, reduce negative effects on mental health, and maintain psychological well-being in challenging circumstances.
