Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy is a type of psychotherapy. It is used to help people with substance use disorders, as well as in the treatment of a wide range of co-occurring mental disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder. The ways in which individual therapy is implemented vary widely, depending on the psychological problems faced by the client, the therapist's personal beliefs and practices, and the client`s individual needs. Individual therapy is suitable for people facing a wide range of issues, including mental disorders, relationship problems, life changes, self-exploration, and personal growth.

Goals of Individual Therapy:
- To identify coping strategies: These may be coping strategies that have helped in the past or the therapist will guide in the development of new ones.
- To rearrange life priorities: Sometimes people have psychological problems because they have irrational expectations of themselves and others.
- To identify personal strengths: Sometimes during times of psychological crisis, it is easy to focus on the weaknesses and what you do not have, instead of the strengths and the wonderful things one does have.
