Emotional maturity

Emotional Maturity of any level reflects the normal emotional developments. According to Walter, D. S. (1974) – Emotional maturity is a process in which the personality is continuously striving for greater sense of emotions, health, both inters physically and intra personally. According to Menninger (1999), – Emotional maturity can be defined as a process in which the personality is always determined for better sense of emotional well-being. (Rajeshwari & S, 2015). Emotional maturity refers to the ability to understand, and manage emotions. It helps to create a healthy individual and social life. As David, W. said (1950) – maturity is the ability to respond to the environment in an appropriate manner. Maturity also encompasses being aware of the correct time and place to behave and knowing when to act, according to the circumstances and the culture of the society one lives in .
