Emotional detachment

Emotional detachment – is an inability or unwillingness to connect with other people on an emotional level. While this detachment may protect people from stress, hurt, and anxiety, it can also interfere with a person's psychological, social, and emotional well-being. Sometimes it can occur as a coping mechanism when people are faced with stressful or difficult situations and it can be a symptom of a mental health condition.
