Crisis counseling
The primary purpose of crisis counseling is to help a person regain their sense of control and restore a normal state of functioning after experiencing a crisis.
In some situations, crisis counseling can offer clients the much-needed freedom to make strong statements without feeling judged or censored. This includes the freedom to talk about feelings such as anger or thoughts of harming oneself that can have shame or stigma attached to them.
