Decision postponement syndrome
Decision postponement syndrome — is an important problem seen in individuals who constantly postpone tasks and experience stress and distress due to this habit. This phenomenon often arises due to a fear of making mistakes or failing, lack of confidence, or feeling overwhelmed by the situation. The person may postpone decisions, hoping the problem will resolve itself or shifting the responsibility to the future. People with Postponed Life Syndrome often live their lives on autopilot, going through the motions of daily life without any real sense of purpose or direction. They may feel like they are stuck in a rut, lacking motivation, and feeling unfulfilled. Also this syndrome is really close to another one, which is known as procrastination. This syndrome also characterized by doing nothing, even though person knows that they have a lot of important tasks, but they are simply either too scared to start doing them or waiting for better time, hoping that it will lead them to better life in the future. Symptoms are: 1) Stress and anxiety; 2) Fear of mistakes; 3) Procrastination; 4) Waiting for a better moment; 5) Lack of motivation; 6) Living in dreams; 7) Hobbies are not bringing joy anymore; 8) Doing everything at the last minute; 9) Lack of happiness.
