Motivational factor

Motivation should be understood as a constant flow of behavior that can be directed in many different ways. Motivation explains the reason that a certain behavior is exhibited. There are at least two approaches to explore these reasons:
а) why an individual exhibits certain behaviors (ultimate causation);
b) how these behaviors came about (proximate causation). (Uyen Thuy Xuan Phan, 2019)
Three important things about motivation capability:
1) Motivation capability is connected to the individual’s energy and needs. What drains and what enhances your energy, and what obstructs or helps you fulfill your needs?
2) More than 90% of the things that drain our energy in our job are things that other people do or don’t do.
3) Our needs are our strongest motivational drives. They are individual or situational and they change over time. (Bundgaard.,K., March 7, 2021)
Many different factors influence motivation, including the organism’s internal physiological states, the current environmental conditions, as well as the organism’s past history and experiences. In order for all these factors to influence motivation, information about them must be processed in a number of ways; it must be evaluated and encoded, and unless the motives are novel, the valuation and encoding will be affected by learning and retrieval processes. ( Curr Top Behav Neurosci, December 1, 2016)
