Panic attack
Panic attack - a sudden period of severe anxiety in which your heart beats fast, you have trouble breathing, and you feel as if something very bad is going to happen. Panic attack onset was characterized by heart rate and tidal volume increases and a drop in carbon dioxide partial pressure. Comorbidity with depressive and addictive disorders is frequent, and panic disorder is considered by numerous authors as a risk factor for suicide.
