Flight Controller

Physically, a flight controller is nothing more than a circuit board with electronic chips on them. You can compare them to the motherboard and processor in your laptop. The flight controller is the brain of a drone. A small box filled with intelligent electronics and software, which monitors and controls everything the drone does. And just like the brains of different organisms, flight controllers also vary in sizes and complexity (Fusion Engineering).
With all the drone’s hardware plugged into this central hub, it makes for the ideal interface to fuse all the sensory input and output a stable and steady flight (Drone Dojo).
A drone controller works by sending a radio signal from the remote control to the drone, which tells the drone what to do. Radio signals are sent from the radio transmitter in the drone controller and received by the drone’s receiver. This is why the drone controller is sometimes simply called the drone radio transmitter or the drone radio controller (UAV Couch).
