Floating Rate
1. An interest rate that can change over a period of time:
1.1 Some investors prefer floating rate bonds over the fixed rates, as interest rates are not predicted to change in the near future.
1.2 a floating rate loan/mortgage/liability
2. A floating rate is an exchange rate for foreign exchange that is set by the trading market.
