Aimpoint
- a point associated with a target and assigned for a specific weapon impact;
- a prominent radar-significant feature used to assist an aircrew in navigating and delivering their weapons.
May be defined descriptively (e.g., vent in the center of the roof), by grid reference, or geolocation. Specific classifications of Aimpoint include desired point of impact, joint desired point of impact, and desired mean point of impact.
A prominent radar-significant feature, for example, a tip of land or bridge, used to assist an aircrew in navigating and delivering their weapons (usually in bad weather and/or at night).
A precise location or a point on a target at which something (such as a guided missile) is aimed.
