Historicism method
Historicism is an approach to explaining the existence of phenomena, primarily social and cultural practices (including ideas and beliefs), by studying their history, that is, by studying the process by which they came about. The term is widely used in philosophy, anthropology, and sociology [Leiter, B.,]. The principle of historicism became the general basis of all the main aspects of the study. Using the principle of historicism involves coverage of the past in its historical context, taking into account the changes that occurred not only with the subject of research but also with all processes and phenomena related to it [Румянцева, p.213]. The principle of historicism involves a holistic and comprehensive study of historical sources and historiographical facts in dialectical development, taking into account the historical situation, historical experience, lessons of history, and about each other [Медяник, pp.41-42]. This principle requires that the story not appear to be a random set of events [Румянцева, p.213].
