– intelligence-gathering by electronic sensors. Its primary focus lies on non-communications signals intelligence.
– technical and geolocation intelligence derived from foreign non-communications electromagnetic radiations emanating from other than nuclear detonations or radioactive sources.
– intelligence derived from electromagnetic non-communications transmissions by other than intended recipients or users.
– technical material and intelligence information derived from electromagnetic non-communications transmission (e.g., RADAR, navigational aids, jamming transmissions) by other than intended recipients.
– information derived primarily from electronic signals that do not contain speech or text (considered COMINT). The most common sources of ELINT are radar signals [Fandom.com].
