Nuclear forces (Military)

A collective term for the armed services, arms or branches, major formations, tactical formations and units equipped with nuclear weapons, whether strategic or tactical. In the Russian Federation, nuclear forces include the Strategic Missile Forces, strategic aviation, submarines armed with nuclear ballistic missiles, and all significant formations, tactical formations, and units equipped with substrategic nuclear weapons [Nuclear Terms and Definitions in English, p. 20].
