Armament
Armament (combat weapons) — a complex of material means of an active or passive action aimed at helping the owner in the course of hostilities. Divide into offensive weapons, defensive weapons, and military equipment. Means used for psychological warfare and other non-material means of action on the enemy during the war cannot be included in the category of weapons.
The legislation of Ukraine gives the following definition: "Weapons - small arms and artillery weapons, missile and rocket-space systems, guided missiles and their components, complexes for launching them and their component units, means of controlling weapons, remote control systems of missiles, equipment for transportation and maintenance of rockets, torpedoes and bomb launchers for depth charges.
A weapon is any implement or device used to deter, threaten, inflict physical damage, harm, or kill. Weapons increase the efficacy and efficiency of activities such as hunting, crime, law enforcement, self-defense, warfare, or suicide. In a broader context, weapons may be construed as anything used to gain a tactical, strategic, material, or mental advantage over an adversary or enemy target.[Weapons in history]
