Cadet
A cadet is a young man or woman who is being trained in the armed services or the police.
A cadet assists officers in keeping the peace and order within society. Cadets undergo training programs covering officer disciplines and law enforcement procedures. They support various activities under the supervision of officers, including road and traffic control, patrolling a designated area, securing special occasions, and helping investigate criminal activities. A cadet may also perform administrative tasks in the station, such as filing documents, responding to visitors' inquiries and concerns, and updating records in the database.
Examples of responsibilities:
Demonstrate strong teamwork and critical thinking to reach a common goal with fellow cadets.
Participate in a leadership military preparatory program instilling core values into young cadets.
Supervise logistics and equipment to coordinate all training events efficiently and effectively.
Participate in government-approved courses for leadership development, navigation, and others.
Enroll in a rigorous leadership training program, physically and mentally conditioned to develop the potential for service to national security strategies.
Fire, medical, rescue, and CPR training/ CPR certified
Demonstrate navigation, ballast, and cargo operation skills.
Receive training in first aid and CPR to obtain certifications.
Organize the commander's weekly staff meeting, and create PowerPoint slides for meetings.
Enforce city civil laws and parking codes, perform fingerprinting and deliver subpoenas.
